The Requiem Album Preview
Solution the Rapper takes over Lynott’s Lounge on Friday, April 5th to preview his debut album ‘The Requiem’.
Since picking up the pen in 2009 at just 12 years old, Solution the Rapper has released a large discography of tracks and achieved more than he could imagine in that time.
While living in Esperance between the ages of 15 to 18, Triple J hosted a regionals week 3 months shy of STR’s 18th birthday in April 2015, airing his first studio single titled ‘Show Down’. That was the first initial kick start for the at the time ‘young rapper’ to take music seriously - which also made the people around him take him seriously as well.
Once high school had finished and he had obtained his Cert II in Carpentry, there was no doubt Solution would return to the concrete jungle to pursue his music career instead of putting the certificate to use. Since returning home, he has been apart of many festivals and local shows, continuing to follow the dream of becoming a recognised Aussie Hip-Hop/Rap artist from Perth.
Although he technically began his music journey in 2009, it’s only been the last couple of years where Solution has gained self belief that he could truly make something of himself, beginning to believe the words of encouragement from friends, family, and even people who only know him through social media and word of mouth. The now young father who works in the mines is on a mission to prove the doubters wrong and show his kids to never give up something that you love to do.
It is fair to say that an album from Solution the Rapper is overdue. This album is produced, recorded, mixed and mastered at Shake Down Studio by Rob Shaker - a highly credible sound engineer, DJ & producer who also produced Solution’s first single that was aired on Triple J back in 2015.
Make sure you get down and witness all the hard work and dedication unfold.
